Tile Art builds ADA / handicap accessible curbless showers. A curbless, ADA accessible shower creates a unique set of circumstances and challenges to enable the shower basin to both contain and drain water without overflowing and allow open access for a wheelchair or other limited movement devices.
The requirements for an ADA accessible shower are set forth by the ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities (ADAAG) which specify minimum measurements for widths as well as maximum rises in any slopes in things such as shower floors. These guidelines ensure the dimensions and shape of a room or, more specifically, a shower are suitable for proper access.
Our accessible showers may also include assisting items such as grab bars, touch controls, fully waterproofed rooms that may be utilized as essentially a very large shower, seats and widened doorways. The bathrooms themselves may also contain ‘floating’ sinks and vanities and touch controls on all fixtures and switches.
If you need a fully accessible, ADA compliant shower or bathroom constructed in Fort Collins, Loveland, or any part of Northern Colorado just give us a call or fill out our contact form to discuss your project options.
